Ieri sera negli USA si è tenuta l’attesissima cerimonia dei VideoGames Awards, o VGA 2012 al cospetto di una star di prima grandezza come Samuel L. Jackson. I giudici, provenienti dalle principali riviste mondiali del mondo videoludico, hanno decretato i loro preferiti nelle 26 categorie della serata. Contro ogni aspettativa, il premio di videogioco dell’anno, il corrispondente dell’Oscar per il cinema, è andato a The Walking Dead. A memoria dovrebbe trattarsi della prima volta che questo titolo va ad un videogioco distribuito esclusivamente in digitale. Di conseguenza TellTale Games ha ricevuto anche il premio per il miglior Studio dell’anno e quello di miglior adattamento (ricordiamo che prende spunto da un fumetto), quello per il miglior personaggio femminile (Clementine) ed ovviamente il titolo di miglior gioco scaricabile.
Per il resto il gioco che ha fatto la miglior figura è stato Borderlands 2 che ha portato a casa tre premi (miglior sparatutto, miglior personaggio maschile e miglior multi-player), ma non potevano mancare i premi anche ad Halo 4 (miglior gioco per Xbox 360 e miglior grafica) e a Journey (Originalità e miglior gioco indipendente).
